The Memphis Interfaith project started in 2007 as a dinner with the intention of bringing people of all faiths together to break bread. It has since continued in the Islamic month of Ramadan sponsored by the Muslim Society of Memphis. However, it has been a true representation of the interfaith community in the Memphis area.

Bringing all faiths together in order to foster respect, instilling dignity, and promoting compassion for all people.

Through themes such as service and sacrifice, the participation has increased by hundreds since its inception. After the 2009 event, various entities came together and decided to take this effort to the next level. This is when Memphis Interfaith was officially formed.

“The first thing we have to do is be comfortable together” – Dr. Alim Khandekar

We’re always looking for more people to join this effort.
Please support us and spread the word.
